ADDITIONAL RULES FOR THE VALENTINE’S FANTASY CONTEST
This contest is open to residents of the United States and Canada, except where prohibited by law. Keiichi.net Radio staff members and DJs are ineligible to participate.
To enter the contest you must submit an entry containing the following information:
- Your name - The name of the person that you wish to dedicate a song to - A dedication message to that person - The title of the song and the singer/Anime series that the song comes from
Dedications must be made in writing. Voice-recorded dedications are not permitted.
Limit one entry per person.
Entries must be received no later than 11:59 PM Eastern Standard Time on Thursday, February 11, 2010 (0459 GMT on February 12). The official date and time of entry shall be considered as the date and time that the entry is received and posted to the contest’s e-mail address.
Entries that are incomplete, or entries that include songs that are not currently available for request on the Keiichi.net Radio web site, www.animeradio.net , shall be disqualified. Entries including dedications to members of the Keiichi.net Radio Staff will be ineligible for prizes. Contest participants are not permitted to e-mail or otherwise send a particular song to Keiichi.net Radio for the purpose of playing the song with the dedication.
Dedications will be read and played on the JRHorse Side Project radio show, scheduled to air on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 8 PM Eastern Standard Time (0100 GMT on February 15). Submitting an entry guarantees participation in the contest, but does not guarantee that your dedication will be read and played on the air.
All entries shall be judged by staff members of Keiichi.net Radio. Entries shall be judged by the content of the dedication and the song that is dedicated. The decision of the judges is final and binding.
The judges shall select ONE Grand Prize winner and TWO Runners-Up based on the judging criteria. These winning dedications and songs shall be announced and played on the radio show.
GRAND PRIZE:
The person submitting the grand prize entry will receive a subscription of six months to the Keiichi.net Radio Enhanced Listener Service at the Platinum Level. Access will be linked to the e-mail address responsible for submitting the entry. (Approximate Retail Value [ARV] $30).
In addition, the person submitting the grand prize entry, and the person to whom the song in the entry is dedicated, will receive additional prizes as follows:
One person will receive a selection of mail-order chocolates by standard mail from a retail distributor of chocolates. The chocolates that will be sent, and the retailer, will be chosen at the sole discretion of the judges. (ARV $40)
The other person will receive a new copy of a Final Fantasy Video Game intended for release in the United States and Canada, shipped by standard mail from a retailer to be determined by the judges. (ARV $50-60) The recipient may choose one of the following three titles, with no substitutions or exchanges:
- Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers for the Nintendo Wii - Final Fantasy XIII for the Microsoft XBox 360* - Final Fantasy XIII for the Sony Playstation 3*
*This title has not yet been released. The game will be shipped in accordance with the retailer’s shipping rules. The recipient of the video game agrees not to hold the Sponsor and judges responsible for any delay in receiving the requested game.
The Grand Prize winner must notify the judges by e-mail within 5 days of receipt of the winning notification with the following information:
- The person that will receive the game, and the person that will receive the chocolates. (One person may not claim both prizes.) - The requested game from the three titles listed above - The full names, mailing addresses and telephone numbers of the recipients. - The information provided must match the information given in the official contest entry.
If no response is received within five days, the Grand Prize winner forfeits the chocolate and video game prizes described above and an alternate winner will be selected.
RUNNER-UP PRIZES:
Two runners-up selected by the Judges will receive a subscription of three months to the Keiichi.net Radio Enhanced Listener Service at the Platinum Level. Access will be linked to the e-mail address responsible for submitting the entry. (ARV $15)
PRIVACY POLICY:
By entering the contest, you authorize Keiichi.net Radio to use your name and likeness on the Keiichi.net Radio web site and/or the web site for this contest, as well as the name and likeness of the person that you dedicated your song to, in the event that you are awarded a prize.
Any personal information submitted by a contestant - including home addresses and telephone numbers used to send certain prizes - will not be distributed to, or shared with, any third parties. Any personal contact information collected during the contest shall be destroyed after the winners have been selected and the prizes have been awarded, or if the contest is canceled or terminated pursuant to the section of these rules entitled “Termination”.
INTERNET:
If for any reason this contest is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Contest, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest. The Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries. The Sponsor is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant's or any other person's computer relating to or resulting from participation in this contest or downloading any materials in this Contest.
CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEB SITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON (S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
In the event of a dispute as to the identity of a winner based on an e-mail address, the winning entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. "Authorized account holder" is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
TERMINATION:
The judges reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend this contest at any time, for any reason - including but not limited to those described elsewhere in these rules - without awarding any prizes.
